6 Nov 2006 - PowerLinx Update on IP Network Camera Product Line
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PowerLinx, Inc. (OTCBB: PWNX), a leading developer, manufacturer, and seller of power line communication products, today announced details regarding the next of several innovative product upgrades and new product launches scheduled for 2006. New for 2006 will be an IP Netcam product line that transmits digital video over the existing electrical lines. This product allows the consumer to install an IP camera anywhere in their home or small office without running any additional wiring. In addition, these IP Network Cameras can be accessed remotely from anywhere using a computer with broadband Internet service.
PowerLinx IP Network Camera technology has several major advantages over existing camera technology. First, the power line technology is significantly easier and quicker to install than existing hard-wired camera alternatives. Second, power line technology offers several competitive advantages against Radio Frequency (RF) wireless camera systems. Power line technology is much more secure and reliable than RF wireless camera systems, with RF wireless camera signals being relatively easy to intercept. In addition, the RF signal is frequently blocked/distorted by walls of a typical home or office or from the RF emissions of appliances like hair dryers or microwave ovens.
The IP Camera technology from PowerLinx has been designed to address the greatest barrier to entry associated with IP cameras - on-site installation. Typical IP camera systems require the user to manually set the IP address and synchronize the subnet mask between the camera and the computer - a task that is very difficult for the average computer user. Traditional IP Camera setups that include broadband access offer even more installation challenges for consumers. PowerLinx IP Camera technology has been designed and engineered to install itself with no user intervention.
An additional feature of PowerLinx IP camera technology is the user's easy access to viewing their IP cameras from other locations using a high speed internet connection and a PC. Other IP cameras require the user to make complicated changes to multiple computer settings for outside access, often requiring professional assistance. PowerLinx technology requires no changes to computer settings by the user.

13 July 1006 - PowerLinx Update on Power Line Audio Product Line

(OTCBB:PWNX), a developer, manufacturer, and seller of power line communication products today announced details regarding the first of several product upgrades and new products scheduled for launch in 2006. The product will be introduced in two forms. The first is an iPod/MP3 accessory, complete with audio speakers; and targets the rapid growth of the iPod/MP3 player market. The second is an accessory for home entertainment systems and component stereo systems which have an extensive installed base. Both products allow the user to connect speakers in any room without running wires from the audio source to the room with the speakers. The technology may also be integrated into various consumer electronics products like home entertainment systems. It is especially well suited for surround sound products as it enables the rear surround sound speakers to be connected without running wires across the room. 5 Jan 2006 - PowerLinx Rear Vision Systems for Vehicles to be Evaluated in Federally Funded Study
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 2006--PowerLinx, Inc. (OTCBB:PWLX), today announced that its power line rear vision system will be evaluated as part of the federal transportation authorization known as the "Safe Accountable, Flexible Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users" (SAFETEA-LU). The research will also provide an estimate of cost savings that would result from widespread use of video collision avoidance technology, including savings attributable to the prevention of fatalities, injuries, damage to other vehicles, damage to cargo, and damage to other objects.

29 Jul 2005 - PowerLinx CEO Tomlinson Interviewed by Wall Street Reporter
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 29, 2005--PowerLinx, Inc. (OTCBB:PWLX - News) today announced that CEO Mike Tomlinson was interviewed by Sunit Kumar of the Wall Street Reporter. The interview can be heard online at http://www.wallstreetreporter.com.
In the interview, Mr. Tomlinson described PowerLinx power line technology. Power Linx technology sends video and audio over existing electrical wiring. PowerLinx has chosen to focus the commercialization of the technology on the home, small office and vehicular markets. All of these are very large, fast growing markets. Bloor Research forecasts that the security market will continue on a 20% growth rate, attaining $155B in 2006. Another potential market for PowerLinx technology is the Department of Homeland Security. PowerLinx is seeking a licensing partner to sell products using its technology through integrators/installers to this market. The Homeland Security Budget for State and Local governments for 2005 is $1.8B according to USA Today. PowerLinx markets HindSight(TM) Power Line Rear Vision Video Systems to the Recreational Vehicle and Truck markets. A total of 370,000 RVs were manufactured in 2004 and the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association estimates this industry will continue to grow at 17% per year. In our other vehicle market, trucks, the DOT says there are 7.9 million large trucks on the road and 364,000 tractor-trailer trucks manufactured each year.
Tomlinson stated that the distribution contract recently signed with Tri Star should help PowerLinx realize the potential of its HindSight(TM) Video Rear Vision System in this market. Tri Star is among the top 3 distributors to Recreational Vehicle Manufacturers. Tri Star is aggressively seeking to get HindSight(TM) specified for recreational vehicles in the 2006 model year and beyond. HindSight(TM) enables the driver to see what is in the blind spot behind the vehicle, avoiding accidents.

20 Jul 2005 - PowerLinx CEO Tomlinson Interviewed by Wall St. Network
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 20, 2005--PowerLinx, Inc. (OTCBB:PWLX - News) today announced that CEO Mike Tomlinson was interviewed by Nick Iyer at the request of the Wall St. Network. The interview can be heard online at http://www.wallst.net, and serves to familiarize investors with PWLX through insights into its products, intellectual property, and new management team.
In the interview, Mr. Tomlinson discussed the Company's core business, power line technology. PowerLinx technology transmits video, audio and data over the existing electrical wiring in a home or small office. Transmitting over the existing electrical wiring has big advantages when compared with traditional hard wired or RF wireless technology. Traditional hard wired technology requires running a dedicated cable, which is expensive, time consuming and disruptive to existing structures. RF wireless, although easier to set up, can be unreliable, since limits placed on output power by the FCC can result in uneven coverage. In addition, RF wireless transmissions can be intercepted using readily available electronics, bringing security into question. Since electrical wiring is present in every structure, users can easily and quickly configure a video surveillance or data system using low-cost, easily installed products from PowerLinx.
